The following is a list of Homeless Support Services in the Hunter Region to help you if you are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.

If you are already homeless, they can help you to access temporary accommodation. They will work with you to address your particular needs and to help prevent you from becoming homeless in the future.

The Matthew Talbot Homeless Service provides outreach support to homeless men across the Newcastle and Lake Macquarie areas. They can assist with accommodation, tenancy maintainence, health concerns, goal identificatiom and legal services.

Port Stephens Family and Neighbourhood Services offers homelessness services at its Jacaranda Avenue location. Its services include early intervention and homelessness services, help with Centrelink payments and Hunter Tenants Advice and Advocacy Service.

Upper Hunter Homeless Support provide support to people who are experiencing homelessness or are at risk of becoming homeless. Services include short and medium term housing, support and advocacy to maintain current tenancy, education and information, referrals and personal/living skills and household management. They outreach to Singleton and Scone weekly and by appointment in other areas.

Allambi aims to support young people aged 16-24, or families with a young person aged 12-17, who are at imminent risk of homelessness. Allambi assists young people to obtain and sustain safe and stable housing with the provision of post-crisis support services.

Path 2 Change offers mentoring for young people who are at risk of homelessness or who are homeless and are disconnected from families and support. Mentors work with the young people to help manage pathways into education, training, and employment as well as offer practical support such as transport, cooking, shopping, driving lessons, help with applications and much more.

Trained Link2home staff will assess your needs and if needed, refer you to a local service to help you get the support you need.
