I'd like to point out (again!) that I am not a Wiccan! However, I do find elements worth reading in some Wiccan publications. But, as with anything you read, determine for yourself whether the material fits into your belief system - question everything. There are books on my shelf where perhaps only one chapter was, to me, even credible and for this reason alone was worth buying. And I have to add, the elements of some tomes I've found just plain laughable!
The books below are a few of my own choices, I hope you will enjoy them.
The Wicca Handbook - Eileen Holland
I think this is a great book. Eileen puts things across in a way that is open minded and is always willing that we all have our own ways of doing things. Much better, in my opinion than people like Scott Cunningham who seem to think only their way is right.
Love is in the Earth: A Kaleidoscope of Crystals - Melody
This book is an absolute must if you want to learn more about crystals. But please Melody, a better index!
Hedge Witch: Guide to Solitary Witchcraft- Rae Beth
A bit waffley for me, goes on a bit. But amongst the copious wordage is a good insight to solitary witchery.
Wicca: The Old Religion in the New Millennium - Vivianne Crowley
My personal favourite. Ok, I am NOT a Wiccan! This book gives a good history of the old religions, best I have seen in a concise format. It is also excellent for learning more about meditation.
