Volunteer To Make a Real Difference
At Jenny’s Place we continually strive to find new ways to support vulnerable women and children in our community. One of the many difficulties our clients face is the struggle to get to and from crucial appointments with their Jenny’s Place caseworkers.
Many of the women we help have no access to a vehicle or have limited funds to pay for public transport. By volunteering with us, you’ll make it easier for them to access the help they need. Your kindness and time can make a real difference in someone’s life.
We’re calling on retirees, or those with time available during normal business hours (Monday to Friday), to volunteer their support. We anticipate volunteers would typically spend just a few hours once a week driving our clients to and from appointments at Jenny’s Place. We will provide company vehicles and travel would typically be in and around the Newcastle community.
To volunteer, you’ll need:
A Current Driver’s Licence
Working with Children Check
National Police Check
If you are good driver, and a kind, respectful and thoughtful person who has always wanted to help, this might be perfect for you.
