Jenny's Place is a not-for-profit community-based service established in Newcastle in 1977.

Jenny’s Place provides direct relief and support to women and children who are experiencing domestic violence and/or homelessness (or are at risk of homelessness).

Our passionate team is committed to keeping women and children in our community safe, housed and free from violence. We seek to empower women through honesty, transparency, equality, compassion and decency. We aim to help our clients break the cycle of violence and live secure lives.

Donating Goods

Important Notes for donations

New and near new clothing, shoes and accessories for women of all ages and for children and teens (male and female) from 0 to 17.  Remember if you are donating clothing, please ensure it is in good condition.

Sanitary items, toilet paper and tissues, shampoo and conditioner, soap and shower gel, deodorant (including teenage boys), toothpaste, toothbrushes (adults and kids), moisturiser, sunscreen, lip balm and tissues.

Laundry baskets and powder, softener, dishwashing liquid, scourers and sponges, cleaning products, dustpan and brush, broom, toilet brush, paper towel.

$10-$20 from Big W; Kmart; etc

Please note, due to limited storage, we do not accept furniture, crockery and household items, linen, towels, sheets, etc.  We work closely with Friends with Dignity who do accept these items on an “as needed” basis.
