Join us on a journey of empowerment for yourself, for women, and for the next generations.

Hear stories of the many brave and courageous women in our community who, with the right support, have found freedom and safety away from domestic violence. Learn about Jenny’s Place, our work to support women and children, and how you can empower yourself and future generations to help break the cycle of domestic violence within our community.

This event isn’t just about walking to raise funds; it’s about building connection, understanding and empathy. We need to walk in her shoes to create real change. We as a community also need to learn true, practical ways to support women and children. When we empower ourselves, we empower change.

A little about Jenny's Place

Jenny’s Place have been supporting women and children to break free from the cycle of domestic violence and homelessness in the Hunter for over 40 years.

The Empowered Walk will raise funds and awareness, and support the delivery of our services in the Hunter. Real change comes from broader understanding and collective action. Our hope through this event is that our community will come together to learn practical and effective ways to support those around them.

With the right knowledge and understanding, we can all feel more empowered to create change. We can encourage and support women to have a fierce soul, a heart that is brave and a mind that is strong. We can all help to create a future where women and children live free of domestic violence and homelessness. It all starts with empowering ourselves.
