Grant to help transport women escaping domestic violence

Share

Huge thanks to Tim Crakanthorp MP, NSW Member for Newcastle, for providing a $16,000 grant from the NSW Government’s Community Building Partnership fund to put towards a new vehicle.

Donna George and Kim Britton picked up a new Mazda 3 from Newcastle Mazda in January 2022. The beautiful new car replaced an ageing Mazda 2 in our fleet. It will enable women and children in our community to access support services required to escape domestic violence and homelessness.

It will enhance the capability of Jenny’s Place to provide outreach services to women who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

Thanks also to Paul and the Newcastle Mazda team for taking such great care of us!
