Thank you for choosing to lead real change this International Women’s Day with Jenny’s Place. We are incredibly grateful that you have chosen to join us and host a morning tea fundraiser for International Women’s Day on Wed 8 March 2023 or during the month of March.
This morning tea starter pack has been created to provide you with valuable information and templates designed for our theme, Raising Respect and includes ideas and activities that can help you maximise your fundraising. Get started by setting up your fundraiser page now.
Step ONE
Setup your Fundraiser page
Remember to set up and share your fundraising page with your guests and community so they can donate. This is completed through MyCause.
Step TWO
Plan your event
We’ve put together fundraising ideas below to help you host the perfect Jenny’s Place Raising Respect Morning Tea event.
- Set a date in the month of March, a time and place.
- Select how you will run your event (see ideas below)
Keep it simple
Host a simple morning tea in your office. Ask for a donation, share and discuss the Raising Respect resources provided.
Bake Off
Find the best office baker by holding a bake-off competition. Ask for a donation to take part.
Multiply your efforts
Whatever you decide to do, get the organisation to dollar match your amazing fundraising efforts.
At home
Host your morning tea, brunch or lunch in the comfort of your own home. Invite your closest friends/family and ask them to donate to attend.
In the Park
Hold a picnic at the beach or your local park. Ask guests to bring a dish and donate to attend. Add fun games to your event. This is a great get together for the whole family.
With your community
Host a larger event for your community. This could be in your local centre or church hall. Add a raffle/auctions or games to make your event interactive.
Bake Sale
Hold a breakfast or morning tea bake sale in your school. Ask children to bring a dish and ask for a donation.
Tea Cups
Get creative. Ask the children to design a teacup and get the parents to buy the artwork.
With your community
Hold a dress-up day and get your school/class dress up for a gold coin donation.
Trivia
Host an online trivia or bingo night via Zoom or Skype. Ask everyone to donate to attend.
Online games
Use zoom to host your morning tea and play some virtual group games. Try Jackbox, Drawful, The Hike or Words-with-friends.
Raffle
Host an online auction or raffle. Ask local businesses to donate items. Get everyone together online and let the bidding/raffle begin.

Promote your fundraiser

Tag our Facebook page or Instagram page and use the event hashtag #raisingrespect in your social celebrations so we can share in the festivities with you! - Event Page
Facebook events are a great way to invite friends and family to your event. Here are instructions for how to set up your event.
We’ve also supplied a Raising Respect Facebook event banner for you to use. You can download the banner in the assets section below.
Step Four
Hosting your event
On the day of your event, use our resources to talk about Respect over a cuppa and cake. Download the posters below to help spark conversation and hold up a poster for a photo to share on your social media platform.
Here are a range of ways you can help raise respect with others this International Women’s Day: Raising Respect through understanding, conversation and actions.
